Greg Weckenbrock is the Lead Teacher at OWL. He and a few passionate officers from Colorado Parks and Wildlife started OWL in 2011. He has been with OWL every step of the way since.  Mr Weckenbrock also taught science and social students at the Bookcliff Middle School from 2011-2019.

Mark Allen is the Principal of both Gateway School and OWL. He joined the OWL team in 2019 and performs all of the administrative duties required for both schools. If Mr. Allen has a spare minute, you'll find him working directly with students to help them grow.

Cristina joined the OWL team in the Spring of 2021! As OWL's Administrative Assistant, she's the friendly voice that greets you on the phone or at the front door and works hard everyday to keep all things OWL running smoothly.

Abby Roehm joined the OWL team when it moved to Gateway in 2019 but has been with Gateway School since 2012. She is a Jill of all trades. Her titles are Gateway School Administrative Assistant, Para Librarian, and Health Assistant, but she is so much more to us! She's always willing to lend a hand!

James is a multi faceted outdoorsman who enjoys teaching others about the great outdoors. He is excited to be teaching the younger generation of outdoor enthusiasts. He may look like a hippy, but trust us he is. He is an avid rock climber and mountain biker and if you pay close attention you may catch his winter coat starting to grow in as he prepares for ski season.

Eli joined Gateway School and the OWL team in 2020. He is the Grounds Keeper and Custodian. He is a multi-talented craftsman making him the best man for the job. He has done so much for the OWL facilities ensuring they are safe and ready for students.

Nick is a positive and energetic Outdoor Educator who enjoys teaching in enriching and organic environments. He began teaching with OWL in 2017, and is excited to connect with the students that participate in the program. Outside of OWL, you may see Nick backpacking, rafting whitewater, or backcountry skiing.

Spencer has been an invaluable member of the OWL Team for many years! With his wealth of camping and teaching experience, he's a steady hand, but always full of fresh ideas for the students to try. His current role is High School OWL Counselor teacher.
